Many users do not know that you can enter a formula anwhere Revit expects a number. This includes type parameters, parameters in famililes, lcation dimensions... etc.
Just remember to enter it as a formula starting with the = sign...example = (5 * 1/8") + 3 3/32"
NO NEED FOR A CALCULATOR
This works great for brick spacing in repeating details - just set the repeat diastance as = 8"/3 no need to worry about rounding errors.

This always seems to be something that slips my mind until I'm halfway through doing it by hand. Great tip!
