Trying to understand cellular beams. There appears to be only one size for the pre-installed family, unlike other beams. So tried to duplicate etc however the depth and width dimensions are ghosted, therefore are we having to go the complicated away to create a new section size. Is there an easy way to create a different cellular beam size from the original family?

I believe that you have to create a new family for your new size.

I haven't watched the video but it may help.

If the parameters are ghosted in your project, that means the parameters are either locked (possible, but not something I've ever seen), or more likely they are being driven by another parameter using a formula. To check, open the family, open Family types and parameters, and find those parameters. You will be able to see if they are locked, or if a different or if they have a formula being driven by another parameter.

Thanks folks. I am time constrained on this project, however I managed to get a family from the augi site

Works a treat - a pity the family embedded within the cellular beam section isn't as easy to use.
