I want to create a dome of glass. Look on my picture. I drew the red line to show what shape I want. It supposed to look like a mushroom.
How do I do?
I followed this guide:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMotmMqKJ3c&list=FLQ4F4BpZ3NBLGVup5HcLQPw&index=2&feature=plpp_video
But I dont know how he flip the dome so that the top are in the top.
And second: How do I create a dome that in plan view is a circle but in elevation view is like a ellipse?

This is something that you want to model in place as a family. You could either make it as a revolve or as a sweep. Both of those tools will work very well for a dome, though revolves will be more intuitive.
You can either simly make it in the roof category, or you can make it as a generic model, and then apply a real roof to the surface, which is pretty slick.
