I created a horizontal metal panel profile and placed it into my wall structure as a sweep when I built my wall.  The problem I have is the line weight is to heavy and I can't seem to figure out how to change it.  If I place this profile as a sweep in a wall that is already in place I am able to override the line weight in my Visibility Graphics.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

I'm not sure you can alter the lineweight of an embedded wall sweep without using the Linework tool after the fact.

It takes on the 'Object Style' of the Wall 'Cut' weight as you have experienced.

Use the 'Linework' tool after the fact as a work around.

As an independant wall sweep you can set the Object Style Cut Weight as part of the Wall Subcategory Sweep.

See attached image of a Section but the same rules apply for elevations and 3d views as well.

If you click on your sweep, then look in the properties - edit type - under identity data / subcategory of walls, you will see what subcatecory controls this sweep.  This sub-category line settings can be set for project wide under the manage tab / object styles and over-ridden in view VG settings.

I'm interested to see if anyone knows how to change the lineweight in my profile family?  The lines are drawn as "profile" lines and I can't find where I can change them within the family.  Otherwise it still appears that you can not change the lineweight of an embedded sweep unless you use the linework command.

You can add sub-categories to all families (except profiles) but I don't believe this will solve your problem.  I believe embedded sweeps in wall definitions are controlled by the wall settings.

I don't like embedded sweeps because you can't control visibility in floor plans.
