Hi, I'm fairly new to Revit. I'm a senior in highschool and learning the program on my own, currently going into the second month. I've been through a Residential Design book for Revit 8, and its help alot. I would like to learn how to make akward shapes (i.e: for roofs & walls) and do some commercial desgin.I've been through the tutorials, however, some of the material is hard to understand. Are there any books out there you would recommend for this?

Thanks for help. However I'm in the process of getting Revit 8.1. Anybooks on this program? Or do the books on earlier use the same concept? I'm entering in many competitions and would like to learn the program as quick and well as I can to be ready.

Do the training DVD's from www.dgcad.com offer as much or more information as the books?

I second spending $40 for the dgcad.com tutorials. Download the 38 lessons. Burn them to DVD and do them. Secondly view the online seminars at: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?siteID=123112&id=5810088&linkID=3770380 I found them very useful. Cheers - Chris

Another option is the new vBook by Cyril Verley one of the original Revit implementation architects (prior to Adesk) Check out the Revit vBookTM today by visiting www.retrievemedia.com - select the "Login" link next to the Revit vBook, when prompted enter: Username : Demo Password : Demo Tom
