Hi there.

I am currently using Revit 2012 on Windows 7.

I was wondering if anybody knows of a way to select all "imported CAD" files for review to be deleted or kept, maybe similar to the way you can manage Raster images in the project. (see attached)

We have a few cad imports sitting somewhere in the project that are taking up room in the already large file size.  However with 80+ views to sift through, it can be quite time consuming to find them and delete them.

I'm not expecting that revit has this feature, but if there is a simpler way to do this, I'd appreciate knowing.

Thanks in advance.

I do not believe there is a built in way to manage imported cad files, if you have linked them in then you can use the manage links tool.  However I poked around in some other threads and found this http://www.revitcity.com/forums.php?action=viewthread&thread_id=18933  with http://www.revittools.info/ attached from WWHub, I have not tried it but it looks like it may be helpful.

Sorry for digging this up, but I followed teafoe5's link today and was kind of lost.

rajra15, did you manage to get revittools from the link in that thread? That link doesn't seem to work anymore. Did you test revittools back then?

I'm using DWG Explorer to manage linked & imported CAD files in my models. It lets me see & individually delete them directly from VG \Imported Categories or from the model itself. Still on the lookout for any better solutions though.
