Hello, where can if find good quality Revit Furniture.  I am looking to expand my furniture pieces, I am getting sick of the same old stuff, and I am busy to create my own so I want a place that is inexpensive but has high quality content.

Any advice or links would be helpful.

Check ours out. It's not free, but like the old saying goes... you get what you pay for.

Would love to hear your feedback as well. Thanks!

AKG!  The Revit Collection is good but you might also try RevitFurniture.com.  They have really great looking furniture just like The Revit Collection but at around only 1/10th the price of $0.99 per model!

Like I said, you get what you pay for... the furniture looks good but the FREE barcelona chair is 2 MB!!! Who wants a 2 MB chair slowing down their Revit project?

AKG!  I think Revit Furniture's intention with the Barcelona Chair was for rendering use only and not repeating the chair thus slowing down a project.  I have found that most of their content is around 500MB which is actually modeled to Autodesk family standards.  Both sites are doing great work!  Keep it up guys!

Invest in the SKILL of making simplified content on your own.  Everyone agrees the bloated content online will slow down your project, so I always reverse engineer families to super simplified massing and make sure their materials use the OOTB materials in my project.

Rod, your two sentences completely contradict themselves. What skills does one need to INVEST in if one is just going to make "super simplified" shapes? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of putting furniture into your project to some degree?

I agree with you that people should take the time to learn good quality content building skills, but the truth is some people just don't have the time or the capacity to do so. People have said that the $10 we charge for most objects at therevitcollection.com is high priced... that is until I ask them how long it would take them to create the same thing. Suddenly paying $10 for something that would take you 2 to 3 hours to complete is a pretty good deal. Not to mention the fact that you get to keep it forever.

By the way, all of the content at therevitcollection.com has material parameters but no materials designated to them. So all materials are applied within your project and controlled by you, the user.
