I linked a 3D AutoCAD model into Reivit.  In the plans and isometrics the imported model shows the cut line, what is beyond and hides what ids beyond a floor or wall, but in the building sections if the section touchs any part of the imported model it shows the whole thing regardless of if it behind or beyond the cut and it ignores walls.  I'm assuming that this is related but it will show as a solid in the fllor and isometrics but in the building sections it will only show as line regardless of the visablity settings.  How do I get this imported 3D AutoCAd model to react in the building sections the same way it reacts in the plans and isometrics?

import the cad model into a generic model in place family. different categories react differently to section cuts

in your project go to component and click the drop down arrow, select Model In-Place, select an appropriate category for your autocad model and link in your dwg file. i suggest you do this starting with the casework category and once you finish it check to see if you get the desired result. then edit the in-place family and change the category several times so you get an idea of how different categories look in section cut.
