Hi all..

I want to ask you guys.. what was wrong with the family I create.. I cannot found the answer over the internet.. search in Revitcity forum, still have no luck.. (or maybe I haven't got the luck to meet a similar cases -_-")

I try to create a Louver Family that stand-alone (in windows category but do not need make a wall opening). Because the louver blades are outside the structure (studs/joists), so when they meet at the corner of the building, they need to joined nicely according to wall joint angle.. (You can see attachment to know what I mean - I hope it explain what I want to tell you).

After I manage to create this louver following the wall joint angle, I met problem when I met door opening.. I want the blade to have 90 degree angle (straight blade end) but I always get notification that the louver family cannot be created..

Attached is the family I've create so far.. Thank's in advance all Smile

No sir..

I mean, I already make parametric angle at each end of the louver family, but I never able to put 90 degree in that angle..

If the louver end meet another louver end, then I can adjust the angle for every end of the louver so the joint would be clean joint (it will have no collision or gap between object, eg: louver blades collide each other at the joint or gap between louver blades end)

But at some case, I need the louver end have 90 degree angle (perpendicular to the wall), and in my case.. the louver meet a door or any other opening, that the louver need to stop going.. Just like on my screenshot attachment, I do not want the louver end have angle like that..

PS: by the way, as far as I know, wall is a system family, right? is there a way to make this louver to act as a wall in schedule? I mean fall under the wall family category? because this louver act as a ventilation and also as the building cover..

Thank you in advance Smile
