Sorry if this was explained previously. I'm using Revit 2010.

When I select an elevation tag on the the floor plan, the primary cut plane (blue solid line with grips at ends) does not display. I can however see the dashed blue far clipping plane. Any ideas on how to display this line and its grips?

Can't remember what things look like in 2010, but the solution should be to make sure "crop view" is selected for that view. See pic...

I'm afraid you misunderstood me. The solid blue line that cuts the elevation is not displayed. This line, that starts out near the tag placement, is dragable. Doing what you suggested will turn on/off the grips on that line (along with the dashed blue line on the sides); but you have to have the line displyed in the first place.

Ah I did misunderstand you. Sorry about that.

I do remember having a problem like yours, but it was so long ago, I cannot remember the solution- if I even found one (might have just drawn a new elevation). I tried replicating your situation now but couldn't make that line disappear in the way yours did. Might be since I am in 2012 now... Sorry I can't help more!
