Is anyone currently using Revit to price build-outs?

What road blocks have you run up against? I am just launching out and would rather avoid making the same mistakes that others have made. It certainly does seem to be the road less travelled.

first of all, there are a thousand ways to price buildings and no real standard for marrying cost data to actual Revit objects, so you kind of have to come up with your own Revit->Cost link. Secondly most people don't have the time to build everything into the model that would need to be included for accurate costs (at least I don't). Thirdly - you have to develop an application to actually do the work of marrying the data. (although I heard a rumor about an italian company doing this, don't know much more) Those are the biggest issues I've run up against in brainstorming how to do this...
