I am making a lighthouse, but i don't know witch lightning fixture to place and what settings should I use so i can render a light beam.. I tried a few different ones, but non of it worked. Is it even possible to get a light beam in revit?

I've never made a beam of light (in the way you want to) but it made me think so here is what I did in the last 30 minutes...

I created a hollow cone shape object (with a revolve) and then give it a glass or translucent plastic material. Then place a light source inside of it or pointing through it which would illuminate that material. I just thought of this off the top of my head so it will some trial and error adjusting the rendering properties of the glass materials, and even then the way the light diffuses might not give the desired effect of a lighthouse... (I could probably play with that for another 2 hours before I am happy with it so you get the idea...)

If you are rendering it anyway, you might just want to add the beam of light in photoshop or other image editing software and save yourself a lot of time.
