Hey, I'm newish to the forum (usually view, not post) so bare with me! I'm using Revit 2012 now, and creating a hospital. I have an MRI suite that I'm attempting to render, and i want to create a ceiling similar to the one seen below. So far, I created two different ceiling planes and added a graphic to the cut out part, but when I render my room is too dark. So my question is, is there a way to get "glowing picture" or is there a way to add lights with out actually adding fixtures (similar to the process in 3ds max)?

Thanks!

Those are neat - the manufacturer visited our office last year with a trailer showing that system.

We have had posts in the past that were about back-lit signs/graphics.  I don't remember the outcome.  Do some searching of the forums - will be hard to find.

Try either of these:

I think the first one will work out better for you because of the more even lighting, but it will be difficult to prevent the self illumination from washing out the material. Post pics when you get done!

Need help? I'm probably in my chat room!

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders. The most famous is never get involved in a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this! Never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line!

Thank you! I'm still tweaking it but I think I'm on the right track! Any input is always appreciated. Smile
