Is there a way to purge room names and numbers that have been used. I just created a room schedule and there are a ton of room names and numbers that I don't think are current in the project. Is there a reason that they are still listed? is there a way to check where it is located if it is in use?
Thanks for your help.

go to the schedule, select room name. if it is in use select "Highlight In Model" from ribbon.

Thanks Coreed.
I assume that if the option to show in model is not available (selectable) then the room name and number is not located within the current model and can be deleted.
It may have been used perviously during development or presentation and although the room was deleted the name and number stays in the system? Is this correct in my assumption?
Thanks

Thanks,
Follow up question: is there a quick way to purge all the room names and numbers? or do I need to go through the schedule one by one and delete those that I can't show in model?

Think I found my own solution. by adding the level peramiter; I am told what level or if the room is not placed in model. thus quickly able to filter or delete the selected rooms.

Fellows.... learn to use your schedules.
For instance - to delete all not-placed rooms
- Sort your schedule by level
- Don't show all instances
- Delete the row with "not placed"
You can do this with anything! Just find the appropriate sort & filter when required. For instance, you could use this to change every door in the project that goes into a guestroom to door number XXX....
Learn to love the power of Revit schedules.
