Is it possible to schedule a room from a linked Revit file? Currently I have a linked Revit file and I am placing the furniture in the new project file to keep the revit file size down. I can tag the room in the linked file but my schedule will not read the room. I have even checked the box in the schedule fileds to pull from the linked revit file.

You can schedule linked rooms, just check the schedule box to include linked files.

But is this really your question or do you want to schedule what room the furniture is in?

I want to be able to schedule the furniture by the rooms in the linked model. I have checked the box schedule from linked models when selecting the Room:Area as on of my categories

I believe you will have problems.  You can not alter the propties of linked file elements and what room the element is in is a property of the linked file.  I would have to check it out for sure.

It will read the room but it will not associate your furniture with that room.
