Does anyone know if there is a way of making a plan view NOT show the cut through the entirety of a sloping slab and beams (Floor family). My plans are showing a multi-level carpark and the resulting cut through the floor in plan view (see attachment) is very confusing.

Only solution would be to adjust the cut plane for this section using a plan region or adjust your overall view range settings so it doesn't cut the floor.

Unfortunately as the carpark is multilevel and the floor is a 'corkscrew' type structure the plan view HAS to cut through the floor somewhere - moving the cut plane will only shift the problem to somewhere else...... Is it possible to combine a partial plan view of one floor with a partial plan view of the floor below onto one sheet (so that it looks like a single plan view without showing a cut through floors) ?? Any other possible solutions? Post edited on 2005-12-19 01:51:09

A plan region will be the best solution around the ramp, use it to minimize the amount cutting, than you might use a solid white region hatch and some drafting lines... HTH

Actually yes - the plan region tool is exactly what I'm looking for (I misunderstood Mr Spot's original answer). Thanks
