Im having a brain fart moment.

WHat is the box to click to get the dotted line on the elevation marker to show up? (so you can adjust the far clip )if you look in the properties window, you can see three boxes checked, ie, the one I THOUGHT was the right one, but its not working...what am i doing wrong.

In the elevation properties - far clipping has to be set.
