I have been having an problem with my projected element lines in my sections. As the problem only appears once I open the print preview and not within the model, I think it may be a print setting issue but I could be wrong.

I have attached a jpeg showing an example.

The elevation of the door has overidden to a half tone but even though it is a projection it appears to take presidence to wall which has been cut. I have tried different methods to achieve this effect (instead of using halftone, simply changing the line colour etc) but all have been unsuccessful.

Any help would be great. Ultimately I need my cut elements to stand out more from my projected elements, giving my sections better clarity.

I realise that changing line weights could also achieve better deliniation but I don't particularly want to change this project wide.

Thanks in advance.

Lineweights can be set by view if you don't want to change project wide.  And these can be controlled by view templates.

I usually draw over with detail lines.
