Hi,

I'm putting together a window schedule on a large complicated building.

In one area one of the external walls has a void in it and so for various reasons we have constructed it using two walls.

The problem is that this external wall has a louvre window in it, and the window schedule using the from / to room fields picks up the void space and not the room beyond.

Is there any way I can amend the louvre window to pick up the room beyond rather than the void space?

Thanks.

In the properties for one of the walls, turn off the room bounding switch.  Now that void space will be part of a room.

But won't that affect the room area - i.e. the area schedule will show a higher value for that room?

Yes - it will.  If you don't want that then fix your walls.  Why did you use two in the first place?  Perhaps it should have been one - maybe a stacked wall?

Expediency is not always productive.  Especially with Revit.  It is usually better to do it right if you want all the bells and whistles to work.
