I am trying to figure out a way to illustrate the alteration of a toposurface in the way that we used to do it graphically in 2dACAD.  That is, we would make the new topo different from the old topo.

Now, with Revit this works nicely with the phases, altered topo gets dash lines vs solid...BUT I would, additionally, like to differentiate between exising Topo lines that have NOT changed and the portion of that topo line that has.  IOW, new topo would be, say, Wide lines, while the same topo line in the portion that does not change as a Medium Line.

Can anyone think of a way to achieve that?

I am trying to think and I don't think it is possible since you can't really edit the actual topo lines themselves right? Might just have to fudge it by tracing some detail lines...

Will be interested to hear if you come up with something. Good luck!
