Hi all, Even though a wall is made up a core and a finish layer can only the core layer be shown in plan view? eg. If I have a 190mm block wall with 14mm finish either side can the plan view show only the 190mm core and measure 190mm in plan view only? cadjockey

Set detail level as fine. Below graphics area there is one toolbar where u set scale of the drawing, control shade or hidden view etc there you have icon to set detail.change that level to fine. This should work. Regards,

There is a workaround t do what your asking. So in plan you only want to show the core layers of the wall? At coarse scale you want see any of the layers but the wall would measure 218mm... Depending on your scale this may be still okay? Otherwise you'll need to set the view to medium detail level. Dimension to core layers to show 190mm then use override host layers in the view to make the finish layers appear as a white line (making sure there material has no cut pattern) this essentially makes them invisible... HTH.

It would depend on your layers file but most likely you'll end up with all the linework still in your dwg.
