I have fixed my exit sign family so I can see the symbol in the life safety plan as well as the RCP however the filters I have set up for some reason will not turn off the family properly in my other plan views. Does anyone know why this is happening so I can fix the family to turn off through a filter?? (we are trying to avoid using plan regions to have the exit signs show in the life safety plan as our project is very large and the plan regions are eating the file)

I assume you putan invisible line in the family so that it would intersect the view cut plane.....
Why not place these in a new workset? Create the workset so the default is NOT visible in all views, then turn it on where you need it.
