So I don't know why this is occuring. My two floor plans are showing the material as a differnet color. look at the picture. the same stair is shown, brown and yellow...I have checked everything I can think of, and dont know why this is happening. same phase, same type floors, smae view properties with sun,  scale, coarseness..

please let me know if ive missed something.

No, I haven't done anything like that. I dont know what area/room color means actually. but look at the walls too, they show different. it seems like a phase filter, but its the same between the views. Ive even deleted the second floor view and remade it, only to get the brown dark floor and dark grey walls. I changed the floor material on the flooring to a purple color to see and the second floor color is much darker. Im at a loss to what this might be.

By they way, here is a stripped down file. revit 2011.

maybe you can see whats the problem. :-)
