Hello all.....if you had to create a repetitive element...say on a parapet cap - like bolt heads every 18" or so on a steel plate....how would you go about doing it?  See hand sktech attached for reference.  Cryingin Revit Architecute 2012)

Could you create a sweep that include a modeled element that shows up every so often?  How?

Or would you just make the cap sweep plain & then place small modeled bolts (or something that looks bolt-ish) where you want them to show up?

It would be nice if it was modeled into the cap, so it's "automatic"...but I can't figure out how to do it.

This kind of thing MUST show up in a roof plan and elevation so that their locations can be very accutactly dimensioned & then in turn constructed.....so it can't only be handled by showing a plan or section detail...it has to be the whole thing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

A sweep is a sweep....What you want is not a sweep but a family that has a sweep in it and a arrayed element.  Too much to cover her.  Search for arrays in families.

Ok - a family that has a sweep AND an array in it.  Ok...off to google I go.

Thanks!

If anybody has any other suggestions on how to accomplish this, please let me know.

A suggestion.  Wall caps are best done in the project in one operation, then they will miter correctly at corners.  A family will not miter in the corners.  So if you then want bolts, use a family with just those in it.
