Using Revit 2012 and the geneic 3D view My curtain wall glass is clear, however when setting the 3D view to REALISTIC or RENDERING it the windows are opaque?  Is there a setting I am missing. I have double checkd the setting in the properties in the curtain wall glass for clear glass and still it remains opaque

Something also to check are the main materials list, as you can often get a heap of different materials (Manage > Materials) that really should all be the same if you load various objects/families from various sources over time. I notice this particularly for glass, where different family objects that come from other revit users, or manufacturers have their own specific glass type properties/colours, etc .

I like to go through my main library components every now and then and update all the glass properties to be the same (and/or edit out/delete redundant materials) so no matter what you load it always ends up looking the same in realistic and rendered views.
