Hi Folks,

Been on this for few hours now and i still haven't gotten a clue or how to fix this. One of my building is using an element of glass channel and i'm using the project file from here,

http://seek.autodesk.com/product/latest/agg/technicalglassproducts/Technical-Glass-Products-TGP-Architectural/17748

  • TGP - Profilit-K41-Thermally Broken Framing-K22 41 6 Dual Glazed
  • Revit

This is the one i'm using but when i go to render, it shows  the panel glazed as solid grey block. I have already tried to go into the family file and modified the glass panel to frosted glass but it doesn't make a change.

Does anyone know how to fix this?  it goes glass, then solid grey, then glass, then solid grey, i want to remove the grey colour panel out and make it clear frosted.

HELP!

All materials in Revit render according to the settings for the material defined in the project's materials and as assigned to the element "IN THE PROJECT" .  What most users don't understand is that once a material is set in the project, that THE PROJECT RULES and governs that material no matter how it is changed in the family.

Many families have unique materials assigned in them but once they are loaded in a project, then that material is now defined in the project.  It is good to change it in your family but you also now have to either

  1. delete the family and the material in the project, then reload the family
  2. or redefine the material in the project.
