I have been fooling around with an architectual column family with parametric void sweeps. There has been a lot of trial and error; thus a lot of experimentation with commands. An very annoying problem has come up where my options bar is displaying my void sweep through the entire list of commands I took to make it. Right now it is something like this:

Sketch > Sweep > Sketch > Sketch > Sweep > Profile > Sketch > Profile > Sketch > Sweep > Profile > Void Sweep | Model Groups

It is filling up the entire screen and I have no clue how to make it go away. Even when starting over and making a new sweep, the options bar retains the whole list of commands. I have tried closing and re-opening revit; other than that I have no clue what to do. I am using Revit Architecture 2011.

Try deleting the troublesome sweep, purging the project (be sure to only purge the sweep so you don't lose stuff you didn't mean to get rid of), sync, close. Then do an audit: navigate to the project from within Revit, and check the  Audit box when you have selected the file to open. I don't know if this will work but it's worth a try.

I have seen this one before where a user did not properly quit a function before starting another.  I believe it was because the user switched windows during a function and lost the menu to quit.  I'm sorry that I can't remember how we fixed it.
