Do you have to be a mathematical genius to program macros using the revit API? If no then how do i get started on this... I want to write a macro to add more parameters to the sheet families, that can be controlled through sheet schedules.

I ended up reading the bottom part of your post and not understanding your actual post. Check here for some insights on macros: http://wikihelp.autodesk.com/Revit/enu/2012/Help/Revit_User's_Guide/2921-Customiz2921/3112-Creating3112/3116-Using_Ma3116/3119-Creating3119
