Is there a way to get a revit file converted to an .IGES or .STEP file? I haven't been ably to find anything online so I wanted to see if anyone else has had to do this before.

Thanks!

You can export as DWG and I believe you can get to both of those through the dwg file using appropriate software.  NOTE:  It may be a 3D file or 2D CAD DWG's but it will probably have lost most of it's BIM properties.

I'll have to check my machine at home which has AutoCAD Architecture 2012 on it, but the version at the office I'm in currently (AutoCAD & Structural detailing 2011) does not give me the option of either file type. Is there other software you were referring to ("appropriate software")? I know I can export to .DWG from Revit into polymesh, ACIS solids, ACA, etc... so I'm sure there might be several ways I could try to get the result I want, but I'm unable to figure out which software will actually get me to the file types I want.

Thanks for your help!

AutoCAD Can Export Iges.  So if you can export to DWG then You can use AutoCAD to export to IGES.  I am not sure how much information you will lose.
