Hi all I am from Cape Town, South Africa, and "new on the block" I work for a strutural engineering firm called Euro-Technology. Revit Sructure has not been released here yet (some time next year we hope), so we are currently using Revit Build 8.1 to model with. We model in Revit and export to Strand7 fot the FEA.(In future, Revit Structure will probably be able do all of this for us.) I have not been "reviting" for very long (about 3 months now), but really enjoy the program more and more as it starts making sense. Due to the nature of our trade, I had to customise beam/column families etc. (according to our local standards) and will also have to get to grips with parametrically creating specialised equipment. I hope to be of help where I can, and would appreciate any words of wisdom from the Revit gurus out there. Kind regards, Pierre
