Hi all, In the process of learning revit I have created a stack of elements that have no relevance to the project. I have completed a project which I now would like to use the configurations from as a template when revit is opened to create a new project. I am able to purge families using the purge function how do remove items such as levels etc? I can delete the reference within the browser however, when I go to create a new level all of the deleted level names appear in the list of available names. cadjockey

These should be listed when purging also. Remembering revit will not purge all level types as it requires at least one to remain.

Hi Mr Spot, I was under the impression that when you purge your project it will reduce the size. I purged my project and revit doubled the the size of the project? what's the deal? cadjockey Also, there is a utility that we are currently using with autocad called 'lfd' (layer filter delete) that dramatically reduces the file size of your drawing. Usually by 80% Is there something similar for revit?
