I am still trying to learn Revit so there may be a simple solution I am just overlooking.  The attached file is a small study I was doing for a half round bay window.  The desire was to have a half turret which would then return to the main hip roof like a dormer.  I tried creating it as all one roof and Revit gave me a full turret merging into the hip.  I tried creating the half turret with the return and it said it could not create the roof (when I created it in place over the bay).  So I created a half turret and then tried to use the roof join command...couldn't join.  Created an infill roof between the two and it still would not let me use the roof join tool.  Could use the standard join but it left the portion of the turret and infill inside.  It appears that Revit is having an issue with the curved roof merging with the hip as when I move the curve away from the hip a few feet things merge much better.  Tried everything I know at this point and still can't get it to work for an quick interior rendering.

Thanks,

Tim

Words just don't work here.  Pleas post a small image of what you want.

I was afraid it might have gotten confusing.  Attached are two images.  The exterior is what I would like the final roof to be.  The interior image shows the roof projecting into the space which is where the problem is.

Thank you
