Greetings from Wales
I go to Crete every year & have friends in Stalis one of them is building a house & to help him understand his architect's plans I did a Revit model for him (see jpeg file attached)
I tried contacting local architects a few years ago to show Revit but no one was interested
What work are you doing?

Im an architect living in Athens, revit user for 3 years, with lot of pain I manage to convince my boss to switch from ADTs to Revit. I think that TOYRIS is from Heraklion (Crete probably). It is very dificult to sell BIM concept in Greece because market is very incremental and ACAD is somehow optimal solution. This is one of island houses modeled in Revit by me.

I think the house will be finished now the photos were taken May this year & they were hoping for completion end September

I never met the architect but he has done other good work
Know this one?

There is another Greek / Engineer guy using revit in Thessalonika I think
but that is all I know of which is a shame

Great to hear that at least one person in Crete is using it

I tought that images should be rendered for galery, that house was only modeled in Revit no photorealistic stuff. Most of my viz work are rendered in viz 4, i think that Im not qualified for posting in galery. Yes I speak greek, but im not Greek. Harika pou vrika kanenan alon apo tin Ellada se auto to forum.

There is another person dpasa from Athens on the AUGI forum so you are not alone I don't think the gallery should be restricted to renders it is for all kinds of work I would like to see your work there

Im OK to submit my work in galery, but is it possible to show some projects made with revit but rendered with other software. I realy dont like revit render style, even the best of it. But hidden views with shadows are cool. THX for support

As far as I am concerned you use anything you like & there are a lot of people looking for alternative rendering packages. I stick to Accurender because I don't have anything else & to be fair all I want from it is a reasonable portrayal of of the design As I type your paint shop image just popped up Did you do one in Accurender for comparison? You should post this on the AUGI Revit Gallery forum they would be glad to see it Post edited on 2005-12-13 19:32:17 Post edited on 2005-12-13 19:41:28
