Has anybody tried the new 'roundup/rounddown' functions in revit 2012?

I can't seem to get them to work in my area schedules. I create a conditional parameter 'Rounded Area' as an area parameter based on the schedule parameter 'Area' and use the function rounddown(Area) but I always get the error inconsistent units.

See Attached.

Seems to work OK for basic numbers but not areas. 

Thoughts anyone?

rounddown(Area/1'^2)
