Hi guys.

Just know to the thread and revit as a whole & I am looking for some advice.

I have some complicated walls which I already have 2d sections of.

I would like to import the dwg into revit and then create a 3d wall in revit using the 2d section and the edit wall command.

This is fine, the only problem I then have is, when i export the wall to dwg, is there anyway of making the wall editable back in autocad. ie add in builderswork to tie in with my 3d MEP services model which has been drawn in autocad using a bolt on package called mapMEP+.

any help on this matter would be much appreciated.

i have revit structures 2012 on my machine.

kindest regards

stephen

"...I would like to import the dwg into revit and then create a 3d wall in revit using the 2d section and the edit wall command...."  << You will not be able to do this.  You could create an in-place wall using a sweep with a profile (single closed) that might be imported but no edit wall commands would work.

hi thanks for the reply i forgot to say that the wall i have is only a 2d section.

therefore when in revit i can make a wall 600 deep and edit it to suit the shape of the 2d section.

the main issue i have is being able to then edit the wall back in autocad?

do you know if its possible?
