I'm working on a project that has two buildings on one site. Rather than workset the file (which was unneccessary due to its small size and the fact that only two of us are working on it) we built the two buildings in two separate Rvt files. When I linked one of the buildings into the file with the other, the coordinates came over just fine, but I'm having trouble with the levels of the linked file (right now some of the files are on the right and some on the left side of the screen). Obviously I can't select a level of the linked file, so I opened the original file and changed the leaders to all one side. I saved, unloaded and reloaded the file. The levels are still messed up. Is there any way to turn them off or hide them for the linked file so that only one file's levels show up in the elevation? Thanks for any help. Ruth Rau Post edited on 2005-12-09 08:40:24

you will have to switch the elevations and levels of in the original file. Choose the one that has the most valuable info on and use it as the main file. Try copying the one file to the other and haveing them in one file. Otherwise create a new central file for a workset setup and copy them in there.

Solution would be to drag the levels over themselves in the linked file so they are all created from the one direction. You can turn just the levels off in the linked file in your visibility settings under linked files then find levels. HTH.
