Can anyone tell me the usefullness of ramps? you can't add spot levels to them or do fancy modelling by surface point edits. How can they be used appropriately?

Dr. Zaius: Ah, yes - the young ape with a shovel. I hear you're planning another archeological expedition. Cornelius, a friendly word of warning - as you dig for artifacts, be sure you don't bury your reputation. |

odd question. "Can anyone tell me the usefullness of ramps"
Use it for modelling a ramp! List most things, there are multiple ways to model anything but the ramp function is a great tool for creating a ramp while maintaining parametric controls. You can easily change the height, width, railing types, etc. and everything regenerates. Revit's main purpose is to efficiently create construction documents, finding a way to create "fancy modelling" is up to the user.
