I am editing a standard revit door family by adding door hardware such as closers, weather stripping etc. This I have done successfully and it shows on my plan when I load into project. I want these items to show within my door hardware schedule but am not able to do so. I can see my doors and the family information..room, width etc..

I have created a door schedule and added new parameters for harware columns as per...closers, weather stripping etc.

I couldn't find this in the forum. Any help would be appreciated.

cheers

I edited the shared parameters to create manual operated fields (yn) txt within our schedule.

1.    Click Settings menu Project Parameters.

2.    In the Project Parameters dialog, click Add.

3.    In the Parameter Properties dialog, select Shared parameter.

4.    Click Select and choose the appropriate shared parameter from the appropriate parameter group.

5.    If desired, click Edit; this returns you to the Edit Shared Parameters dialog, where you can open a different shared parameter file or add new parameters.

6.    Choose whether to store the parameter by instance or type.

For more information on instance and type properties, see Instance Properties and Type Properties.

7.    Under Group, select the heading under which the parameter should display in the Element Properties dialog.

8.    Select the categories to which you want to apply this parameter.

9.    Click OK.
