I just noticed that my Admin L3 level is nearly 50 feet higher than my Admin L4 but is visually at the correct location. These levels are in the same model (not linked). How is this possible?

The only way I know is that you have two different dadums.  One level is set to project and one is "real".

To further complicate the issue, if I try to correct the elevation of ADMIN L3, it moves to some other location far below all the other levels and creates a host of errors/warnings and related issues.

Okay. If that is true, how do I figure that out? How can I fix this?

I just figured it out... different level head. One was shared, the other was project. Unfortunately, the real elevation should be the shared elevation as well. How do I fix that?

Change the level head to the correct type for all of them.

Not exactly the answer I'm looking for. The project level needs to match the shared level so the linked models come in at the correct location. I think my problem is arising out of the fact that the coordinate base point is at the top of the project rather than the bottom... because my building is underground.

Read up on "Relocate the project"

To better understand this, download and read the Augi EDGE   - spring 2009 -  Getting Oriented With Revit’s Coordinate System

We have a link to this on our Home page.

Thanks... Not sure why my last response posted twice but oh well. I'll take a look at that. Hopefully it will be more helpful than the relocation resources that I've seen so far.

After reading the article and dealing with continued issues on this, I would really like to see something more indepth and useful. The article was a little light & ethereal for what I really need to deal with these coordination issues.
