Filters won't do a thing for you because there is nothing to filter.  We put our exterior walls/doors/windows and the floors/roof in an exterior shell workset.  Then you only turn on that workset.

I am the only person who works on these projects.  Is worksharing-worksets the only way or the appropriate way when in future more staff could be working off a central file?

We have found that even on single user projects, we like to turn on worksharing because of the advantages it gives us.

If you can somehow assign these elements to a selection set that can filter them..... but I have not done that and I don't even want to try when it is so much easier to use worksets.

I have figured out the whole Central file set up with worksets etc. however not sure how this will be helpful in the sense that when I create the "building envelope" plan using the one workset required it also changes the first floor plan showing only what workset I've chosen to be visible....It changes all plans set up?  How do I keep different views withing the same project/workset
