Is there a way to make my walls in plan view appear as such (see attachment) in "fine detail view (as opposed to Coarse detail view)"!? I changed the coarse fill Pattern to Solid and coarse scale fill color to Grey in the Graphics box, but when I switch to Fine view, it reverts back to white!? I hope this is making sense!? Thank you so much in advance! You revit experts are the best!!!!

Do you mean that it is changing from Gray, when 'coarse', to White when 'fine'? If so, I believe that it should stay the same unless your details are set to hidden line or wireframe.

In fine / medium mode, cut patterns are assigned by material - not by wall definition.

How did you create that image?  You say it is a coarse view that you changed your fill?  I doubt that.  Coarse views will not show layers and in addition to that, you can't create a fill that has both a solid fill and a pattern. 

Are you teasing us with something we are not aware of? - Fess up.
