I have mostly curved walls and they change heights (curve) as they go around the building.  I am trying to add an I-Beam to the top level of these walls so I can attach the rest of the roof items.  Seems using the "railing" command would be the best way, I can curve the path but I can't get it to follow the curved heights of the walls.  Any idea how to get past this?

Don't use a railing.  If this top of wall can be described as a plane, then set that as your work plane and add the curved beam on that plane.
