Hi everyone,
I am wondering why the program won't export.
EXPORT--->CAD FORMATS--->DWG
Opens up a prompt called "Export CAD Formats - View / Settings"
I check off which drawings I want, etc....
Then I click "Next", then it stalls forever. I can't click anything on the ribbon or the project browser. If I hit ESC, it returns me to the first prompt window.
Same deal for PUBLISH (trying to generate a 3D dwf for viewing in Navisworks)
Hope someone could help
Joe

Do you have enough RAM? I've had problems exporting to .dwg when working with very large files, it acts like it creates the .dwg but doesn't.

Try it one sheet at a time.

It can take a very long time to export, as well. I recently was asked to export DXFs or 3D DWGs for interior designers using sketchup, and the screen froze for 2-3 minutes to export 15 mb files. And I have an excellent computer.
make sure you don't have anything like shrubs or extremely intricate 3D objects attempting to export. A single tree can add a megabyte or two to your final cad output.

No, it's bizarre, my neighboring Revit user can export the dwg and dwf files on this
same project no problem. It's not like the computer is processing something. It's
just sitting there.
I have a top of the line computer with tons of RAM. 64 bit machine. Anyone know why
Autodesk does not enable Revit to use all cores on my duo-quad core? It's silly...
Thanks
