I wish I could name extrusions in the family editor (like you can name reference planes). In complex families, it would be hellpful.

I have read that extrusions are tied to the plane on which they are created. Once you have created it how do you tell what plane it is on. Sorry if that’s stupid but I am fairly new to this.

Have you thought about creating nested families for each extrusion?

Case in point I made a GE-Marquette EKG, but made the GE logo a family, the wheels a seperate family, the screen/counter a family and the structure the main model host.  The extra effort makes things a TON easier when copying and moving....AND naming.  Winking
