I'm not sure if i'm losing my mind or missing thepoint or both? But it seems like i'm missing quite alot of family templates in 2012 that I had in 2011, in fact I opened 2011 and realised that nearly half of what was there in 2011 isn't there in 2012. I've tried repairing the installation and reinstalling but still the same. Is anyone else experiencing this. am I safe to just copy all of the templates from 2011 to the 2012 folder????

We have 63 templates in our 2012 English_I file. Our installation put them in a different place than they had them in 2011.

yeah i've got 31 so just under half lolz and missing the 3 usual folders that are there too

kk so there is deffinately something screwing up here, am I safe to bring all of the templates from 2011 into the 2012 folder?? Have any of them changed much??

I don't think any of us here can answer what may have changed. I would follow the advice give in the link Typhoon gave and re-install the library.

I tried reinstalling it and it had no effect, I've just copied all of the files from 2011 folder into the 2012 one and it seems to be working fine.
If anyone gets a spare minute I'd really appreciate it if they could e-mail me their template folder for English Metric (UK) RAC 2012, so that I can make sure I have the most uptodate stuff in there. I don't think it will be a very big folder as they are all just templates.

Well I was hoping it would but it seems they havn't put the 2012 ones on there yet, all of the 2011 and 2010 ones are available though.

Hi, I´m too having problems with the installation of family and templates of the revit 2012. Already traed re-installation, but the filies are still missing. I am using the templates of revit 2010. And until now no problems, however, recently i was trying to create an rpc family and found a compability problem. The type parameters are empty, their by I can´t change the render appearance of the entourage. could any one send me the 2012 templates? The templates on the autodesk web page goes to 2011, it says the 2012 are in the compounents installation, but in my case they are missing, so...
