I made detail section A in drafting view with detail lines and detail components, then started to make detail section B in another drafting view. I found I could use certain part of detail section A in the detail section B drawing. I tried to use "link Revit" function but it won't let me do. Could you help me to solve it? I use Revit Architecture 2010 version.

You would not link this.  You could copy paste the elements.  If they were grouped, you could copy/paste or just place the group.

Does that mean, "link revit" function only good for linking other revit project?

Search your Help for LINK and read this topic " When to Link Models ".  That will explain this application.

I serach "Link" in the "Search" engine in Revit 2010, but did not find the topic "when to link models". I think I went to the wrong place to search. Could you please tell me where to search? Thanks
