I can seem to put a room tag. What could be the problem?

does your room have a closed boundry?
if not, use room separation lines to close it and it should work,

Both rooms and room tag categories must be on ad you have to actually have a room. The room does not have to be enclosed to tag it but you must then pick the small rectangle that represents the unenclosed room.
