Hello,

I thought I fully understood the way shared parameters work...until I ran into this:

I've made families, with multiple types in it. Now I want to add a shared text parameter to all off these families, that displays their type name. So I'add the shared parameter "description", and fill in the values for each family type. When I change the type, the value changes along. So far so good.

Now when I load the family into a project, the "description" value does NOT change along as I change types....?

How can I make this work?

Off course I know, I can also create a tag which reads out the family name, but I'd like to use the description parameter in multiple families, which can all be tagged by the same tag. Also; sometimes I also use description 2, or 3 (my tag reads 10 description fields), and this can be a diameter i.e. which is not represented in the type name....

Thanks!

did you use the overwrite parameter values when you loaded the familie into the project?
