Greetings.

I am trying to find a way to highlight a few rooms on a large floor plan for a presentation.  The plan is already coloured for various purposes, but some of the rooms are being 'called out' for further presentation.

I have already created a type of callout that we can place in the plan, but now we need to add the room number to this callout.  So I was thinking ... if I can simply override the graphics of the room to 'boldly' outline and create a new room tag that simply shows the room number, I'd be done.

But I cannot seem to find a way to adjust the room object to show the boundry.  Is this possible?

I am open to other suggestions, as well ...

Ian

Why not create a separate sub plan of the area in question at a larger scale. this will highlight and make it possible to make these rooms more important, for discussion.

Thank you so much for your input but I'm not quite sure what you are suggesting, an actual callout?  I would have gone this way but, of course, the designers proceeded on their one and developed plans, either by hand sketch or in autocad, and I am going thru the DD plans to identify the rooms AFTER THE FACT.

The sad truth ...

I was able to use 'override graphics by element' and make the room's boundary thickened and coloured but I cannot plot these boundaries.  This confuses me as I thought that the room reference lines could plot.  My hope was to adjust the graphics of the rooms and use a modified room tag, but I am stuck with not being able to plot the room boundary.

Still hoping for suggestions ...
