Hi all.
I am scheduling door egress information and using the door tags to display door width, stair width, etc. on the code plans. The single door works fine, scheduling and tagging correctly using shared parameters. I am using the same shared parameters with the double door family, but nothing shows up in the door tag, and the door will not appear in the schedule for egress capacity calculations.
The double door parameters are all set up the same way as the single door parameters, which work.
Any ideas??
Thanks!

Check your double door family again and make sure that is the one you are actually using. Your problem is there somewhere.

The double door family is the same one. I can see all the paramaters in the properties box when I click on the door. The schedule is also set up with a yes/no parameter filter to schedule only "exit doors" and this door is checked as an exit door. It is like the tag just does not register any of the shared parameters from the double door.

Are you positive that the double door is using the correct shared parameters? Just to check, remove one of the misbehaving parameters from the family, add it back in from the correct shared parameters file, then reload the family.

Thanks. I edited the working family's shared parameters and it no longer worked. So I backed up and exported the shared parameters from the working family, overriding the existing ones. Then I went into the family that did not work and selected from the "exported parameters" group and that worked.
Although the problem is solved, I am not sure how the disconnect occured. Originally, I created the shared parameters in one family, loaded into the project and then added the parameters to the second family (selecting the ones I had already created). They were both referencing the same parameter .txt file. Any idea how to avoid having to export the paramters to override the existing in the future?

I'm not positive where you went wrong, there are several places where you could have taken a wrong step. What got me was working with a shared parameters file and family templates created by someone else. Without my knowledge one of the parameters was deleted and re-created (the name was the same but the GUID was not, so in Revit's eyes it wasn't the same parameter). So, I'd create schedules with the updated file and the families created with the old file wouldn't schedule correctly. Something as small as that is all it takes to really throw a wrench in things.
